Brooklyn Wildlife, Kennedy Yanko & Adam Dare present: Fine Art – a night of Art, music and festivities. at Ivy House Studios. Friday January 11, 2013 7:30pm – 12:30am.Enjoy new art work from Kennedy Yanko (sculptural paintings), Adam Dare (paintings) and Chris Carr (nude photography) in an awesome gallery space – Ivy House studios.Carr’s work is figurative and specific in depicting the human shape; his approach is very primal, direct and simply real. This contrasts Yanko’s abstract, organic and fluid pieces that express a rich and seemingly formless nature; one that is layered, unrevealed, and ethereal. The convergence of these two styles will lead to a visually stimulating, aesthetic journey through a gallery full of figurative and non-conventional representation.
“I am influenced by the Halcyon days of the 80s and 90’s a time of seismic movement in music, art, and style. I blend the Aesthetics of Graffiti and Hip Hop. My art is Infused with punk rock and heavy metal. Undercut by all the subcultures that now define ‘Popular culture’.
I am inspired by beauty, infinite and mundane.” – Adam Dare
Live music by Cecilie Beck, Ayler Young, and Laura Ravn, Rose Hart, The 19th Letter
