MINNEAPOLIS, MN—located in The Thorpe building in NE Minneapolis on Saturday, February 9th, 2013 from 6:00pm-1:00am The Abstracted Art Gallery will be holding a grand opening reception to formally introduce itself and officially open their doors to the public. There will be live acoustic music featuring Wendy Soleil from the band I Like You, as well special DJ performances from Toki Wright and JoshuaTree. Free beer will be provided by Indeed Brewery as well as other refreshments. There will be ample, free parking in the lots north and south of the building, as well as on Central Avenue.
The opening exhibit will feature multiple styles of work from local artists, including Deuce7 a.k.a. Twenty Seven, Chuck U, Biafra Inc., Jesse Golfis, MazeWayz, Taylor Lindgren, and Meat-Jeffery Paul Gadbois.
The Abstracted Art Gallery is an innovative, eccentric studio/gallery that will be hosting numerous receptions throughout the year. They will feature exhibits from emerging, mid- career, and established artists of all varieties, from local and out-of-state. Offering full-color screen-printing capabilities and accommodations for a veritable plethora of mediums, The Abstracted boasts private space available for its artists to practice their craft, and produce work within the space itself.
