Arcadia Contemporary is proud to present Works On Paper, a collection of works created solely on paper. The works in this exhibition feature many different artists represented by Arcadia Contemporary. Their varied disciplines and mediums are joined by the shared use of paper as a foundation. Through this exhibit Arcadia Contemporary aims to unravel the notion that works on paper are somehow less substantial. All pieces call into question the role of paper as a surface, or as an active participant, whose negative space is a subject in itself.
In addition, Arcadia Contemporary has partnered with Moleskine to present works created directly within the pages of a Moleskine notebook. These notebooks serve as a frame while also emphasizing the use of paper as substrate.
Contributing artists include Casey Baugh, Michael Carson, Kim Cogan, Matthew Cornell, Jeremy Lipking, Stephen Mackey, Julio Reyes, Mari A. Robinson, Jordan Sokol, Aron Wiesenfeld, and many more.
Join us for a reception Friday, August 14th from 6:00-9:00 PM at Arcadia Contemporary, located at 51 Greene Street. This exhibition will be on view from August 14th-31st.
