Chicago Truborn and Thunder Circus present the work of KASHINK!!
KASHINK is one of the most predominant female artists in the French graffiti/street art scene. Currently located in Paris, France, she has traveled and painted all throughout the world gaining inspiration from many different cultures.
Kashink’s style is certainly distinct: her paintings feature huge four eyed characters with thick lines, vivid colors, and her distinct style in every piece. Her work has been cited as “provocative, creative, and constantly challenging social norms”. Her latest international project, #50CAKESOFGAY started only 2 years ago. She began painting large scale murals of colorful cakes in support of gay marriage and equal rights. Now, she’s surpassed 200! Most notably, fans of Kashina’s can point her out in a crowd due to the mustache she wears.
Having shown all over the world in galleries throughout France, Switzerland, Italy, Germany and beyond, Chicago Truborn is ecstatic to host her her in CHICAGO! Look forward to viewing original paintings, two on-site murals, limited edition screen prints and an exclusive run of Kashink in Chicago tees!
AND- as if you needed another reason to celebrate…This will be the grand opening of Chicago Truborn’s brand new location. They can’t wait to share with you the new space located in the heart of West Town!!
