Guzu Gallery Presents
Frame That Toon: An Art Show Celebrating Cartoons & Animation!
February 26, 2016 – March 28, 2016
Opening Reception: Friday, February 26 • 7-10pm
Online Sale: Monday, February 29 (around Noon CST)
Guzu is proud to announce their first art show of 2016…in amazing Technicolor! This time around, they asked over 25 artists to create artwork celebrating their favorite cartoon characters, past and present. What this amounts to is over 30 brand new art pieces — originals and prints — on display for your viewing pleasure. No denizen of Toontown is safe…they are framing them up and slapping ’em on the gallery walls for all to see! (Don’t worry, no toons were harmed in the making of this exhibition.)
The opening reception will be on Friday, February 26th from 7 to 10pm and the artwork will remain up through March 28th. Limited edition prints and original artwork will be available for purchase. There will be a live musical performance and DJ set by Who Ha on opening night. Complimentary beverages will be provided by South Austin Brewery. As always, admission is free and all ages are welcome!
Guzu welcomes everyone to the show, but if you can’t make it out, the artwork will be available for purchase in our online store on Leap Day (Monday, February 29th) around Noon CST.
Stay tuned to Guzu’s social media outlets for more info!
