Brooklyn, New York— The Gowanus Print Lab hosts a multi-media group exhibition with
works by Raquel Shalam, Jessie Laura, Nicole Cohen and Senem Oezdogan. Through collage,
printmaking, painting, photography and textile arts, these female artists respond to the daily onslaught on visual images and preconceptions by stepping out and back through abstraction. With their work, the artists construct an alternative means of viewing that plays at the intersections and contrasts of lines, shapes, compositions, colors, and contexts. This space invites viewers to slow down and turn away from the mayhem.
“Life/Lines” will run through February 11th, 2018. The artists will be present at the opening
reception: January 11th, 2018 at 7pm at the Gowanus Print Lab. 54 2nd Ave Brooklyn, NY 11215.
Gallery hours are Monday – Saturday 10 a.m.– 7:00 p.m. and by appointment.
