Announced: Brooklyn Collage Collective @ Bushwick Open Studios 2018

The Brooklyn Collage Collective is pleased to present a mixed media group exhibition in Bushwick Open Studios 2018, marking the collective’s fourth year in participation. Veterans, Morgan Jesse Lappin (founder), Jessie Laura, Joseph Karwacki return to Bushwick Open Studios with original works on view. The exhibition welcomes newcomers, Stephanie Cortazzo and Justin Aversano to the collective. The collective aims to bring credibility to an otherwise under-recognized medium, elevating the art forms limitless ability to create a dialogue through assemblage. This past April, the Collective was recently published in Blended Magazine, “Brooklyn Collage Collective: Working to Make Collage a Well-Known Medium in the Arts.” BCC was recently featured In the coming future.

The Brooklyn Collage Collective was founded in 2013 by Morgan Jesse Lappin in Brooklyn, New York and has acted as a beacon to collage artists both Brooklyn based and internationally. The Collective aims to bring attention to the medium of collage and to build a strong community of collage and mixed media artists to preserve the medium.

The exhibition is proudly sponsored by Blue Point Brewery.
